Improve quality and minimise maintenance in your manufacturing processes with one of Sweden’s best known engineering industry trademarks.
With a vice from Demanders, you get a first-rate production tool. We have developed the design by drawing on our extensive experience and broad knowledge of the manufacturing industry. Our vices ensure production characterised by excellent efficiency, quality assurance and attention to detail. Swedish quality, precision and flexibility guarantee top-notch production and a superb end product.
The parallelism for Demanders machine vices is equal to +/- 0.01 mm. The design of the body ensures easy alignment in relation to the machine table, with the option of securing the vice to the edge. The low height ensures stability. Case-hardened and ground jaws.
MS 125-160-200 are parallel-ground and the underside and ends are ground at right angles. The vice is manufactured with close tolerances, which makes setting it up easy. Machines vices can be customised on request, for example, for special attachments.
MS 125H-160H-200H have the same properties as MS 125-160-200 but are also supplied with PowRlock pneumatic-hydraulic pressure boosters that produce oil pressure of 250 bar at an air pressure of 6 bar. The automatic clamping function, which is controlled by a hand or foot-operated valve, has a stroke of approximately 6 mm and can be used over the entire width of the vice jaw, while the crank is used for coarse adjustments. Clamping using a crank can be done without any adjustment being required.
The benefits of PowRlock are primarily high efficiency, easy adjustment, rapid installation, flexibility and excellent safety.
Demanders’ range of modular precision vices, RS, enables CNC milling machines, efficient multi-task machines, and other machinery for precision machining to meet quality requirements and maintain a high production rate. RS saves you time thanks to its short set-up times and flexibility, which means improved utilisation of expensive machinery. In short, RS boosts production.
The incredible precision of the RS vice is the result of a number of design refinements and the excellent material from which it is made. This material is able to absorb vibrations, making it better for the machines. The vice’s adjustable jaw can be detached to allow the assembly and clamping of long parts. The jaw also has a long drive handle for a better grip at work and on quality. The spindle is sealed to protect against shavings and dirt, which helps reduce the number of maintenance stoppages. With the spindle positioned in the middle of the jaw, dimensional accuracy is virtually guaranteed.
The compact design and modular construction of the RS vice make for flexible clamping and economic machining of small parts or large workpieces with multiple clamping points. A number of accessories are available, including a variety of jaws, power clamping devices, and hydraulic jaw actuators. These all help reinforce the idea that a Demanders RS vice improves workshop economy.
Swedish quality, great precision and flexibility have always been guiding principles in the design and manufacture of Demanders’ RS vices. It’s therefore entirely natural for this vice to be used horizontally, on its end, standing or supplemented with spacers, a central jaw or two adjustable jaws, for example. The adjustable jaw can be quickly repositioned on the slide at 50 mm intervals.
RS vices fitted with the patented power booster simplify setup, machining and replacement work. There is no longer any need for tedious cranking, a process which takes up a lot of space. The low tightening torque minimises the risk of industrial injuries. A ratchet wrench is all that is required to activate the power booster housed in the sliding jaw. Two short twists of the ratchet wrench (¾ turn) and the pressure exerted on the workpiece is three to four tons, depending on the model. Infinite adjustments can be made using a clear rotating scale. Precision manufacture maintains a high level of repetition accuracy – no matter what the process.
The short length enables the vice to be used with multi-task machines fitted with a safety guard. Flexibility is achieved by having a number of holes in the smooth underside for different setup options. The specially-developed and patented design of the RS vice, together with few moving parts, ensures a long service life.
